Rita is the Head of Southeast Asia at Axslogic. She has twenty four years of experience in Consumer and Commercial risk management across Asia. In addition to portfolio management and segmentation, she also specializes in score model development and crisis management.
Rita has worked closely with Hari in senior leadership positions over the years, both in Citigroup and in the companies he subsequently founded. In the latter, she led and managed business operations for North Asia and the Analytics division in Asia.
Rita started her career at Citigroup in 1989, where she completed the Management Associate Development Program before going to hold various management positions in O&T, Risk Management and Credit Operations. Rita attained both Consumer and Commercial Senior Credit Officer (SCO) initials at Citigroups well as being appointed as a Score Specialist for Asia. In fact, she was one of the few Consumer Risk Managers to be appointed as Country Risk Coordinator, providing franchise level risk management support to the Citigroup Country Corporate Officer and country management.
Rita has extensive experience in managing portfolios through the various stages of an economic cycle. She successfully restructured the distressed mortgage portfolio in Taiwan and provided leadership through the Hong Kong bankruptcy crisis. She has also developed portfolio monitoring triggers on customer indebtedness to allow pre-emptive action on risky customers.
Rita is a strong believer in grooming talent. An accomplished credit trainer for over a decade, she was instrumental in building Citibank HK as a net exporter of risk management talent. She also established HK as a best practice center for developing risk management expertise for the region.
Rita is an active member of the community. She has been serving as the Honorary Treasurer of Friends of the Museums in Singapore.
